The following instructions explainhow to set up the card to feed bothPowerSDR and a second application, like MixW or CW Skimmer, at the sametime. If you prefer, you can use this file that I created, SDR_192.session.Right click on the link and select Save Link As. Save the file in theMy DocumentsMy Sessions folder which PatchMix created when youinstalled it. To use the file, click on the 'openfile' icon below (in the filegroup above the big blue box), navigate to the SDR_192.session file,and openit. It will create the proper session for you.
You can also create your own session. To do so, follow the instructionsbelow.
SelectPhysical Source, then click on the blue oval and select 'I/O Card INL/R'. Pan L should be panned to -90 and Pan R to +90. This routes thesound card line input to BUS 1.
Add another new strip and choose HostSource. Click on the blue ovaland select ASIO OUT 1/2. Once again, the pans should be set for +/-90.
Insert a Send by right clicking inthe top insertfield, and select OUT 1/2 I/O Card. This inputs the sound from PowerSDRand routes it to the sound card output jack. Click the little M to mutethe strip.. this removes the strip's output from BUS 1 so that itdoesn't mix with the sound card input.
In the BUS 1 output section, justbelow the big window, right click inthe left most insert field and select ASIO IN 1/2. This sends the busoutput to PowerSDR's ASIO input.
In the insert field to the right ofthat one, right click and selectWave L/R Host. This routes BUS 1 to CW Skimmer (using MME or WDMinput).
Your setup should look like mine whenyou're done. Save the session. Ihave posted my session file in the Files section of the LP-PAN YahooGroup website.
Belowis a picture of what the PowerSDR Audio Setup tab should look like forthis card. You may or may not need the Expert mode selected. On myolder PC, setting a latency of 2ms helped the card start reliably. Allother settings should be matched exactly as shown, except 'Line InGain', 'Mic In Gain' and 'Output Voltage' which are meaningless in thecontext of LP-PAN.
'Audio IF, Hz' setting will be different than mine. A ballpark settingcan be found using this formula..
CW Pitch - Global Offset = Audio IF, Hz
CW Pitch is the setting in the K3. It should also be set inPowerSDR and LP-Bridge to match.
Global Offset is the setting in PowerSDR>Setup>SoftRock IF Stagetab. You will need to fine tune it after the initial setting. Use thedefault CW filter in the K3 when doing this. Make sure the DSP controlsare set to NORmal, as they shift the Skimmer display if not.
